Abstract

Butchers have the highest rated occupational ergonomic problems, caused by the meat production industry’s rate and the tools used. The cold environment, various cutting tools, and working manually with their hands, contra rapid rate of production, are some of the factors that contribute to a complex working situation. The goal was to improve the pig rib-separating tool so that it is suited for professional butchers. The tool provides a better ergonomic handling and prevents future work related problems.
